Listen to the War on Drugs‘ First Song in Four Years

“‘Who’s That’ was written in 10 minutes somewhere between first coffee and school drop off,” says Adam Granduciel

There has been ample opportunity to check out the War on Drugs in concert since their last studio album, 2021‘s I Don't Live Here Anymore , but not much in the way of new music. That changes today with “Who's That?“ the band's first offering in four years. The song was written and produced by singer and bandleader Adam Granduciel, who says it came together in an impressively short amount of time.

“'Who’s That' was written in 10 minutes somewhere between first coffee and school drop off,” he writes in a statement. “It’s a song about trying to love yourself despite things we can’t always control, like the anxiety, depression and self doubt that may stand in the way of living the life.”

Listen to it below and check out the accompanying video directed by Max Flick. The War on Drugs will be on the road for a series of festival dates, including ACL, through the end of October.
