Treaty Oak Revival Ask Fans To Stop Throwing Chairs

Apparently there's a group called Treaty Oak Revival that make country rock that some call " Southwest emo ," and they played the MAGA-associated Rock The Country Festival earlier this year. On Thursday (Sept. 24), the Texas band had to post a video telling fans to stop throwing lawn chairs at their live performances.

"We've seen the videos and we're not happy with what we're seeing," lead singer Sam Canty says. "We will say it from us directly: Please stop throwing shit into the crowd or at the stage during 'Boomtown.' We're all for beer showers, we're all for crowd surfing, we're all for raging and having a good time, but please do not throw hard objects into the fucking crowd. It's hurting people and we don't fucking condone it."

" Boomtown " is the second track of their 2021 debut album No Vacancy , and they're lucky they didn't get sued by Green Day, because the guitars sound exactly like "Holiday" from American Idiot . Anyway, one concertgoer was reportedly hospitalized last week after their show in Charlotte on Sept. 19. It's not only chairs, but also trash cans and beer cans, the latter of which hit Canty in the face last September. Watch lots of videos of chair throwing at their gigs below.
