Anonymous vocalist on Avicii’s ‘Enough Is Enough’ reveals identity after 15 years

The once anonymous vocalist on a long-unreleased Avicii track has finally revealed her identity, 15 years after recording it.

In an interview with EDM.com , Irish-Swedish singer-songwriter Jenny Lindfors shared that she provided the vocals for the unreleased fan favourite known as ‘Enough Is Enough’, which has circulated online through bootleg recordings since its original production over a decade ago. Lindfors now releases indie rock music under the alias Sailing Stones.

The artist revealed she only discovered the track had gained a cult following years later, after a friend heard it playing poolside at a hotel in Malta and recognised her voice. She also said she was unaware that Avicii was the client when she recorded the vocals in a studio in 2011.

The studio session, Lindfors said, was organised by British producer Hal Ritson, founder of Replay Heaven, a company that specialises in interpolations and sample replay recordings. As part of the session, for which Lindfors was reportedly paid a standard rate, Ritson reportedly asked her to sing in the style of Florence Welch (from Florence + The Machine) during the recording. As part of her contract for the job, Lindfors reportedly signed an agreement stating she would be credited under an alias if the track was ever released.

EDM.com confirmed Lindfors’ account of events after viewing her contract, which lists the song under the name ‘Let Me Show You Love’, a working title that has frequently been used for ‘Enough Is Enough’ online.

Recalling how she learned that Avicii had used her recording, Lindfors said: “I took to the internet and saw countless videos of Avicii playing a track that contained my original vocal at festivals and clubs. The music was totally different to what I'd sang along to in the recording session. I later discovered it was one of Avicii's personal favourites, and he liked to open shows with it.”

Per EDM.com , Lindfors’ contract also gave the client the right to edit and remix her vocal without further approval, allowing her original recording to be lifted from its initial instrumental and used in Avicii’s version of the track. Since it was never officially released, however, no official credits exist, leaving Lindfors without a clear legal basis to challenge the attribution.

Over the years, the identity of the vocalist on ‘Enough Is Enough’ has been the subject of ongoing speculation online, with names including Yolanda Selini and Amy Pearson circulating, while Australian duo NERVO are credited with co-writing the original melody. The pair have previously spoken about their attempts to officially release the track, which has also previously been known under the name 'Don't Give Up On Us', but after being denied permission from the Tim Bergling estate to share a version that contained any of Avicii's contributions, the project has yet to surface.

After years of discussion among fans, Lindfors has now come forward to publicly claim credit for the vocals on the track.

“These people may all be involved in different capacities as writers, demo vocalists and so on,” Lindfors told EDM.com . “But the vocal that’s out there is definitely me.”

Earlier this month, Tomorrowland revealed that its Avicii Tribute Experience would be returning for the upcoming 2026 edition of the festival.
