She described the experiences as “one of the top moments” of her life
Alison Wonderland walked the official match ball onto the pitch ahead of Australia’s FIFA World Cup match against Paraguay over the weekend.
The Aussie DJ and producer was named stadium captain for Australia’s Group D match against Paraguay at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Friday 26th June, where she led out the match ball before kickoff.
Both teams progressed to the knockout rounds, with Australia set to face Egypt on Friday 3rd July.
Alison Wonderland shared photos on Instagram following the experience, writing in the caption: “One of the top moments of my LIFE. WALKING THE BALL OUT FOR THE AUS VS PARAGUAY FIFA WORLD CUP GAME. What an honour to do this for my country. GO THE ROOS!”
The unlikely side quest came during a busy stretch for the artist as she tours her latest album, ‘GHOST WORLD’. She’s also set to perform at Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and EDC Orlando in the coming months.
