The number of apartments on the market in the Danish capital is still rising, according to new figures from property site Boligsiden.

The amount of apartments on sale in Copenhagen has risen consistently over the past few months, with the trend continuing in June. At the start of July, there were 2,754 apartments on sale ‒ 8.2 percent more than a month ago and just 1.2 percent less than at this time last year.

"The capital is the only region in Denmark where the amount of apartments on sale is back at the same level as last year," said Kasper Fredløv Sonberg, team lead for data at Boligsiden.

"That's primarily due to the fact that there are more new apartments on sale, but also that there have been fewer sales than last year."

In Copenhagen alone (the city, rather than the capital region as a whole), 1,630 apartments were on sale at the start of July, which is 25 percent more than at the same time last year.

In Region Zealand the number of apartments on sale is 38 percent lower than at this time last year, while in the mid-Jutland region that figure is 30 percent lower.
