Towering above the small rural Australian service town of Kimba lies The Big Galah. Built by the Venning family in 1993, the big bird is situated in prime position overlooking the busy Eyre Highway. The structure took 18 months to complete and is one of many 'Big Things' which are situated across the country, often in remote towns as a means of gathering interest and putting their places on the map.
