There's a gripping mugginess that's stylistically consistent in all the singles RIP Magic have released so far. The production has a claustrophobia to it. It feels spacious but also uncomfortable. The percussion drugdes forward, hunched over. Vocals are washed out and wasted. Synths crystallize in the background. It's dark and bright at the same time, a wonderful feat. It sounds like the springs in someone's head floating off into space, contemplating the edges of a black hole. Listen below.
