Ontario teen rock trio Thunder Queens have detailed their sophomore record Deep Below , which arrives September 24 via Victory Pool .
The album is previewed today by its title track, produced by Dave Schiffman (Smashing Pumpkins, PUP, Vampire Weekend) and recorded this past spring at Toronto's Dreamhouse Studios. It also arrives with the cinematic music video, directed by Genevieve LeFeuvre and Brandon Emeny.
"'Deep Below' was written to show others that they're not alone, and that even though we all have our own unique paths, we're connected through vulnerability," bassist Clara Magnan shared in a release.
"The song is about realizing something is changing, and how letting go can feel impossible until you finally understand that holding on is hurting you too," vocalist Lola Good added.
This summer, Thunder Queens are supporting Cancer Bats on tour, and will also play their own headlining shows (more dates have yet to be announced). You can check out their live schedule below.
