The new Lou Barlow-led Dinosaur Jr. single reminds me so much of Pearl Jam. "Blowin' Up," which follows lead single " Several Got Away ," is one of two Barlow-penned songs on the new LP. On second listen, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite Barlow tracks, a folky, midtempo fuzz-rock tune taking aim at our current administration's "death cult." Barlow sounds weary and disgusted as he concludes, "You want to see blood and guts/ Come on." Add it to the protest anthem canon.
