Silvertomb, the band led by singer-guitarist Kenny Hickey drummer and Johnny Kelly, each formerly of both Type O Negative and Danzig, have announced their sophomore album, The Interpretation of Nightmares , due out November 13th. They’ve also unleashed the lead single, “No Way to Live.”
In addition to Hickey and Kelly, the band features guitarist Joe James (ex-Agnostic Front), bassist Hank Hell (Sheer Terror), and guitarist-keyboardist Aaron Joos. The Interpretation of Nightmares marks the follow-up to the band’s 2019 debut Edge of Existence .
As for the seven-year gap between albums, Hickey explained, “Just as things were really beginning to take off for Silvertomb, our hands were suddenly tied for a number of years due to the pandemic and its long-lasting aftermath; on top of that, I had a drinking problem that urgently needed sorting out.”
“No Way to Live” features Hickey singing over doomy riffs, with James delivering a nifty guitar solo beginning at the three-minute mark.
