The transaction is structured to manage financial risk for the acquiring club, with Sassuolo initially securing the player on a temporary basis alongside an option to purchase his contract permanently. According to the official club statement, this option will automatically convert into a binding obligation to buy if specific conditions are fulfilled, allowing Sassuolo to evaluate the asset before committing to a permanent transfer fee.
Bowie originally joined Verona in January from Scottish side Hibernian, having previously been a key attacking figure for his former team.
