Sen Morimoto Readies New Album Time Is on Your Side
Join the versatile singer-songwriter in a woodsy video for single “Overthinker”
Sen Morimoto has unveiled the follow-up to their 2023 album Diagnosis . The genre-spanning Chicago singer-songwriter will release Time Is on Your Side on October 23, via Sooper , their own label; trudge into the woods to join them in the video for “Overthinker” below.
In a press release, Morimoto said, “I’m not fighting time anymore. I treat it as an ingredient. Some of these songs only need a pinch, a couple of improvised takes. Others sat for years, like wine in a barrel, until they became equal parts of my past and future. My hope is that it could inspire the freedom to slow down.”
Members of Morimoto’s tight-knit cadre of Chicago musicians join him on the new LP: Kaina Castillo, Ryan Person, Elijah Bradford, and Brok Mende.
