Erykah Badu and The Alchemist have shared the full details of their collaborative album, Before the World Blows: The Abi and Alan Experiment , ahead of its release this Friday, August 28th.
Spanning 16 tracks, the project includes previous singles “ Next 2 You” and the recently released “Witch Doctor.” The star-studded guest list on Before the World Blows includes Thundercat, Earl Sweatshirt, Steve Lacy, Kamasi Washington, Westside Gunn, and more. Pre-orders are ongoing.
To further build anticipation for the release, Badu has given fans the opportunity to speak to her via FaceTime or video call. The interactive experience begins at www.b-t-w-b.com , where fans can complete a series of challenges in order to unlock a burner number.
Callers must then provide the album title as a passphrase for the opportunity to speak with Badu, who will invite select fans to complete the phrase: “One Mo ______ Before the World Blows.” Some of these conversations will be recorded and incorporated into the wider BTWB campaign.
