TV tonight: Fightland is 50 Cent’s big and bloody boxing drama

The rapper executive-produces this story about a champion boxer out for revenge. Plus: a dream wedding turns into a nightmare in Ludwig. Here’s what to watch this evening

9pm, Sky Atlantic “Boxing is a criminal enterprise,” says Nicholas Pinnock’s slick crime kingpin Kingsley Marshall. “Always has been, always will be.” It’s a highly debatable claim but typical of this big, bloody and somewhat basic drama executive-produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, which is set at the nexus of pugilism and gangsterism. It stars Howard Charles as “Duke Kilroy”, a champion boxer in search of revenge after the murder of his brother. About as subtle as a punch in the face. Phil Harrison

8pm, BBC One Another day in the Den and more Dragons to impress. This week includes a nervous husband-and-wife team with their worryingly expensive water-saving device, a health food entrepreneur who hasn’t made that much profit but has already had a grant from Sainbury’s, and a street art impresario who has gone viral. 8pm, BBC Two The business journalist’s surprisingly brutal art dealership competition lands in sunny Margate this week, where the five remaining pairs need to sell limited-edition prints to the public. Gavin gets off to a strong start: “I don’t even know what a print is.” Hollie Richardson

Events take a dark turn as the 20th century arrives at the home in Calton Hill, Edinburgh. David Olusoga shows how the residence manifests the economics of the era, it’s now multiple-occupancy, which means overcrowding and trouble. There’s also an insight into the dangers of working in a prison. PH

9pm, BBC One It’s murder on the dancefloor, as a dreamy wedding takes a nightmarish turn. Leave it to master-puzzler John (David Mitchell) who is now working as a crime scene consultant. But the fact that every wedding guest saw the victim creates a problem: “That’s too many variables!” HR

9pm, U& Dave Howard Overman’s unusual crime thriller is heating up nicely, as compromised cop Leo continues to pretend to investigate crimes in which he is involved. The consequent bittersweetness of the sparking chemistry between Leo and his partner Bella is cannily written. Jack Seale
