Before the talks began, Norlén told the Svenska Dagbladet newspaper that he was offering party leaders a sockerkaka, a kind of spongecake made with apples, blueberries and rhubarb from his own garden.
Social Democrat leader Magdalena Andersson was the first to visit Norlén in his offices in parliament, at around 10am.
In a press conference after the day's meetings, Norlén told journalists he knew exactly how many cups of coffee he had consumed over the day: eight.
Presumably, that's one shortly after waking up and one more in each fika meeting.
