Angine de Poitrine stopped by Later… with Jools Holland during their recent run of shows in the UK to perform “Fabienk” and “Sarniezz,” two tracks from their breakout 2026 LP Vol. II .
Dressed in their signature polka dot papier-mâché outfits, the Quebecois math rock duo showed why they’re one of 2026’s biggest breakouts with their appearance on Jools Holland. “Fabienk” was first, though their rendition of the song was abridged; the performance kicked off during the song’s groovy middle section as opposed to the tense, spindly opening riff.
“Sarniezz,” on the other hand, was performed in all its glory; its tempo may be a little more laid-back compared to “Fabienk,” but Khn and Klek (the duo’s names) still demonstrate some powerful, pinpoint musicianship. It’s particularly fun to see how often Khn is using their pedal board, with their painted, polka-dotted feet, no less, to create the duo’s unique, minimalist sound. Angine de Poitrine have had a whirlwind year following their viral KEXP session back in February. We named their sophomore effort Vol. II one of the best albums of April , and deemed “Fabienk” to be one of the best songs of 2026 so far .
