The Best Airbnbs in Asheville, From a Fairy-Tale Tree House to a Victorian Cottage

Immerse yourself in Asheville’s dynamic culture at these gorgeous Airbnbs.

As someone raised in the mountains of North Carolina , I've always loved visiting Asheville. I have made the winding two-hour drive from my hometown of Boone countless times, and the city's vibrant energy never ceases to excite me. An eclectic little gem located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains , Asheville’s bustling art and restaurant culture attracts visitors from all over. It's also home to famous historic sites like Biltmore Estate , which is the largest privately owned home in the United States.

What truly makes Asheville so captivating is the city's wide range of attractions, activities, and gorgeous places to stay. Unbelievable mountain views , hiking trails, and other outdoor activities are minutes from the city center, and there are dozens of gorgeous Airbnbs to hole up in no matter what area of the city you choose. The River Arts District is a hub of creativity and expression, home to hundreds of artists, galleries, and expansive outdoor murals along the French Broad River. Downtown is my favorite neighborhood, and I like to take an afternoon to mosey around, with a non-negotiable pit stop at Tupelo Honey for lunch. Wherever you stay, there's so much to do, you can spend your days soaking in a refreshing mountain spring and evenings dining at an award-winning restaurant or craft brewery, then catch live music at one of Asheville’s charming theaters. You will never run out of activities, with something to discover around each corner. Below, find 11 Airbnbs that capture every bit of Asheville’s quirky and whimsical appeal.
