Amnesia announces 50-track Ibiza classics compilation for 50th anniversary
‘50 Years Dancing’ arrives on 4th September via N.E.W.S
Amnesia Ibiza has announced a new compilation celebrating the club’s 50th anniversary.
Available as a deluxe 10-vinyl box set and five-CD edition, the collection charts the history of the venue through 50 key tracks chosen by Amnesia’s long-time resident Les Schmitz, the Amnesia team, and Frederik Emmerechts from Belgian label, N.E.W.S.
Titled ‘50 Years Dancing’, the compilation celebrates the artists and sounds that have shaped Amnesia, with contributions from the likes of Eric Prydz , Calvin Harris , Paul van Dyk , Fred again.. , Donna Summer , DJ Koze, Robert Miles, Laurent Garnier, Binary Finary, and many more. Maceo Plex’s remix of Faithless’ ‘Insomnia’ is also included, exclusively on the vinyl edition.
The compilation is the latest in an ongoing, year-round celebration of Amnesia’s 50th anniversary that includes residencies from Joseph Capriati , Glitterbox , and KETTAMA , as well as a FAC51 The Haçienda takeover featuring David Morales, DJ Paulette, and more.
