David Guetta is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Other names set to be honoured include Lil Wayne, Karol G, Sia, and Grandmaster Flash
David Guetta is among the latest names set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The news was announced by actress Ming Na Wen and singer/percussionist Sheila E. at a ceremony livestreamed from Funko Hollywood on Thursday (23rd July). Other honourees in the Recording category include Lil Wayne, Karol G, The Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park, Sia, the Ramones, and Grandmaster Flash.
Outlaw country musician Waylon Jennings will also be recognised with a posthumous star.
A total of 32 new stars will be added to Hollywood Boulevard in 2027 across six categories, including music, television, film, theatre, radio, and sports entertainment.
Among those being honoured in the film and television categories are Elle and Dakota Fanning, Kate Hudson, Idris Elba, Delroy Lindo, Sam Rockwell, Cheech & Chong, and Netflix chief executive Ted Sarandos. The television category will also recognise Pedro Pascal, Adam Scott, Lisa Kudrow, Keke Palmer, and others.
Meanwhile, US radio host Charlamagne Tha God will be honoured in the radio category, while former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger will receive a star under the Live Theatre/Live Performance banner.
In a statement, Walk of Fame Selection Chairman Peter Roth commented: “The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is proud to welcome the Class of 2027 to one of the most enduring symbols of achievement in entertainment. These 32 extraordinary individuals have each made a lasting impact on audiences around the world through their talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft. We are honoured to recognise their remarkable contributions and look forward to celebrating them as they take their place in Hollywood history.”

Dates for the individual star ceremonies have not yet been scheduled. Recipients have two years from the date of selection to arrange their dedications before their honours expire.
