Calvin Harris DJs for 1.6 million people at record-breaking São Paulo show
“Only in Brazil!!! This was a truly insane day”
Calvin Harris has broken the Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a DJ set by a single artist.
The Scottish DJ played to 1.6 million people on 8th February 2026 at the free pre-carnival street party Bloco Skol on São Paulo’s Rua da Consolação, with the record now officially confirmed by Guinness World Records. His set included classics including Rihanna collaborations ‘We Found Love’ and ‘This Is What You Came For’, as well as ‘One Kiss’ with Dua Lipa, as the Daily Record reports.
“Only in Brazil!!! This was a truly insane day”, Harris said of the achievement in an Instagram post. He also shared some footage of the set, which you can watch below.
The scale of the event led to Rua da Consolação being closed, with some fans reportedly fainting in the heat, according to the BBC . Guinness World Records has since confirmed the 1.6 million attendance figure as a new world record.
Harris is currently in the middle of his “ double residency” at Ushuaïa Ibiza that runs every Tuesday night until 2nd October. He also headlined Parklife festival for the first time in over a decade in June, before ma king his Tomorrowland debut later in the summer.
In August, Harris also launched a limited-edition Rave Haggis to mark his two homecoming shows at Glasgow’s Hampden Park Stadium. The first concert was broadcast live across BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 1 Dance and BBC Sounds.
