KOKO Electronic announces Michael Bibi, Shanti Celeste, DESIREE, more for AW26 programme
Benji B, Francis Mercier, Claptone, Chris Stassy, and Artwork will also play
KOKO Electronic has announced the names for its forthcoming season. The London venue also marks its 125th anniversary this year, and has shared a short film to celebrate, featuring DJ Boring cast as a punk rocker. You can watch this below.
Centred on the main Theatre room, which has stood in place at the Camden venue since the Victorian era, KOKO's autumn-winter season of parties will begin on Friday 25th September with Lee Burridge, Birds of Mind, Adassiya and Share. Meanwhile, Saturday 26th will welcome DESIREE , Benji B and Charisse C.
Those dates are followed by Green Velvet, Ruze and Fifi Forte (2/10); Oscar Mbo, Thakzin and Shamiso (3/10), and Swimming Paul with Messie, Jess Iszatt, Segg, and Adamé (9/10). Further into next month, highlights are likely to include Hernán Cattáneo with Danny Howells (16/10), Michael Bibi with as-yet-unannounced support (17/10), and Themba with Da Mike (23/10).
24th October will then see KOKO's myriad spaces used for a mammoth line-up led by Shanti Celeste and her Peach Discs operation. Leon Vynehall, Danielle, Ellie Stokes and Gramrcy are also on the bill. A Milly On Air podcast will be recorded on the night, while NIKS, rRoxymore and Mason Maynard take over the B.A.D. studio, Daisy Moon will run a Saffron workshop, Ladies Pub Meeting are in the house, and Amaliah's London Love Letter is also involved.
Other dates for the diary include ANTS and Ushuaïa mainstay Andrea Oliva (13/11), masked tech house star Claptone (14/11), and three nights from Francis Mercier (20,21,22/11). WhoMadeWho will host their own Weekender to close out November, with Chris Stassy (4/12), Jan Blomqvist live (11/120, and Marco Carola (26/12) set to play. New Year's Eve will see Artwork take over the venue, with DJ EZ taking the mantel on New Year's Day for one of his Z Uncut marathon sets, before East End Dubs close out the celebration that evening.
