Tomorrowland generates 60,000 overnight hotel stays in Brussels
Brussels Airlines also reported flying in 25,000 festival-goers
Tomorrowland is benefitting the economy in the Belgian capital of Brussels, despite the festival being held in the town of Boom, around 27 kilometres away.
As reported by Flanders news site VRT NEWS , Tomorrowland has 43 official partner hotels in Brussels. The Brussels Hotel Association (BHA) estimates that festival-goers are responsible for an estimated 60,000 hotel overnight stays in Brussels during Tomorrowland.
Brussels’ Hotel Le Plaza on the Adolphe Maxlaan reported being fully booked, with 1,000 festival-goers staying at the hotel. The space hosted a special make-up service for attendees, with hotel director Laurent Dekeef telling Belgian station BX1 that despite the hotel’s traditional nature, it was “trying to extend the Boom experience right up to the doors of the Plaza”.
Elsewhere, Belgium’s main flyer Brussels Airlines reported hosting nearly 25,000 festival-goers from 106 different countries across 409 flights, an increase of 10,000 on 2024.
The airline offers seven official Tomorrowland party flights, which feature a live in-flight DJ, from locations such as Ibiza, Barcelona and Prague, with over 1,000 passengers signing up for the special trips.
It was recently reported that residents in Boom and other local towns were making thousands of euros providing services to Tomorrowland attendees.
