Arca releases new album, 'XXXXX', on XL Recordings: Listen
The Venezuela-born artist performed the album in full on a livestream earlier this month
Arca has released a new album, 'XXXXX', via XL Recordings. You can listen to it below.
Out today, the 16-track album, which is also available in vinyl format, follows the Diva.Experimental livestream that aired on 23rd July and saw Arca perform 'XXXXX' in its entirety. Since then, 12 videos from the live stream had been shared in the lead up to the album’s release. You can also watch them below.
The two-hour Diva.Experimental livestream was performance directed by Daniel Sannwald, with lighting design by Matiere Noire, and was staged from an abandoned factory in Barcelona. 'XXXXX' follows Arca's twice Grammy-nominated album, 'KiCk i', which was also released on XL Recordings and subsequently formed part of the 'KICK' pentalogy.
