A new small-scale nightclub has opened up in Bushwick, New York, named XTC Bushwick .
According to local news and culture publication Grime Square , the space sits on a concrete island between Flushing, Johnson, and Scott Avenues.
The club takes over the former home of an auto repair shop, which later became a jazz bar called the Bushwick Triangle in 2023 before it was recently shuttered.
XTC Bushwick comes from Brooklyn DJ Sheezy Kebab, who told Grime Square that he had the idea to open a club in New York after performing at Es Paradís in Ibiza.
"My bigger ambitions are something like what Brooklyn Mirage used to be," he said. "Overall, EDM is the ideal, but it’s not the only thing we care about."
Sheezy also explained that he had planned to host an event at the former Bushwick Triangle venue before it closed, but after learning that it had been double-booked, he threw an “improvised” party on a nearby semi-truck instead.
The impromptu event attracted over 40 people, turning the back of the truck into a small "rave" complete with a refrigerator set-up and a generator to host DJ sets.

Speaking to Resident Advisor , Sheezy confirmed that XTC Bushwick will feature both indoor spaces and an outdoor rooftop with a capacity of just 74 people across its three floors.
The new venue has already played host to an open deck night on its covered rooftop, giving emerging DJs short 15 minute slots throughout an evening in July.
A few days later, XTC Bushwick hosted Alchemy Collective's first Brooklyn pop-up, welcoming a range of local techno DJs. Further events are still to be confirmed.
